Bellobagno bathtub Care

Acrylic is a lightweight modern material which is easily molded to produce delicate and detailed bath designs, yet is strong and durable. One of the great advantages of an acrylic bathtub is that it is a solid surface. In other words, the color that you see on the outside goes all the way through the surface. It hasn't been painted or sprayed on, but has been applied from a solid color base.

Bathtub Care: The tub is very easy to clean as there are no pores in the acrylic. Most dirt will simply wash off with clean water. Abrasive cleaners or those containing chemicals will destroy the acrylic surface of your bathtub and should not be used.

Never clean your bath with Goof Off Paint Remover or any type of thinners. Products like Bon-Ami®, Comet®, Ajax®, Soft Scrub®, Scrubbing Bubbles®, or Lysol are not recommended. Do not use bleach or aerosol cleansers, the propellant contain acetates and can erode and crack the acrylic.

The acrylic surface has no pores for dirt to penetrate, so for general cleaning simply use water. For a more extensive cleaning and to sanitize the bathtub, use a mild dish soap and water. In all cleaning cases, make sure to rinse your bathtub thoroughly with water and dry the surface of the tub when you are finished.

Scratches: If your tub is lightly scratched, you can easily buff it out with polishing compound like buffing out fine scratches on a new car.

Scratches or burns can be removed by use of very fine sandpaper (1500 grit) and then finishing with a liquid polish. 1500 grit sandpaper is available at most automotive paint stores. When sanding, move in a circular motion and cover an area wider than the scratch. Always wet the sandpaper with water to avoid scratching the surface. Repeat until the scratch is eliminated. Finally, polish the area with polishing compound to bring back its original shine. Use a soft cloth and a small amount of polish to buff the surface. Repeat as needed.

Never clean your bath with paint removers or any type of thinners or acetones. Use of these chemicals will destroy the acrylic and void your warranty.

The use of chemicals or abrasive cleaners will void your warranty.
